THE NATURE OF THE MIND

Reading,
The content of thoughts,
Without knowing,
Their nature,
Is like reading a library,
A book at a time,
In a language,
We don't know.


[A photo I took, and a poem I wrote in 2013 about the nature of the mind. I write a lot about mind practice, not because I know so much about it, but because no other topic interests me as much.

In this poem I share my amazement at how the continual distraction of appearances prevents me from knowing more about their true nature.
