Michael Erlewine, from a recent interview:

"I am an entrepreneur in the classic American sense of that word. I never finished high school, because I just couldn't wait to get out in the real world. I am self-taught, and love nothing more than learning something I am fascinated by. I have turned all of my hobbies into businesses. I am also a fierce collector and archivist, having created many large libraries and collections. For example, my collection of music CDs is now housed in a warehouse and numbers over 250,000, so I am told, It is part of the All-Media Guide, I Like to start things, and Move on. I do still own and direct what is perhaps the largest astrological library in the world. I also study and practice Tibetan Buddhism.

"In 1965, I helped to start a band and became the lead singer of the Prime Movers Blues Band. I hitchhiked with Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop was my drummer, opened for Cream at the Fillmore in San Francisco - things like that. I became an interviewer of blues artists, then an archivist, and went on to found the largest music database in the world, the All-Music Guide. Did the same thing with film, and other topics, like rock n' roll posters.

"I have been studying astrology for over 40 years, and founded the first astrology company, in 1978, which, along with Microsoft, are the two oldest software companies on the Internet. I am now and have always been very active in astrology, as a programmer, author, teacher, and chart reader. I have been married to my wife Margaret for over 35 years, and have four children.
